Hungarian Goulash 

Goulash, one of the classics of Hungarian cuisine, is a delicious pot dish prepared with plenty of onion, red pepper powder and tender meat. We present you the satisfying and delicious Hungarian Goulash recipe, which can be served both as soup and stew.

 

Ingredients for Hungarian Goulash Recipe:

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • 500 grams of beef contrafille, large cubes

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • 1 onion, cut into cubes

  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated

  • 2 village peppers, diced

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 2 teaspoons of chili pepper

  • 2 tomatoes, peeled, diced

  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar

  • 2 cups water broth 

How to Make Hungarian Goulash?

 

  • Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
  • Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan.
  •  Add the flour onto the contraloin and mix until it is covered.
  •  Fry the meat in the heated oil over high heat for 5 minutes without letting it release its juices. Set aside. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan and fry the onions over medium heat.
  •  Add garlic and peppers and saute for 5′ until softened.
  •  Add tomatoes, tomato paste and chili peppers and put the meat into the pan. Mix it up.
  • When it boils, mix the broth and vinegar and add them to the pan.
  • Place it in a baking dish and cover it with foil. Bake for 1 hour and open the foil. Bake for another 30 minutes. Serve.
